BY CAR (ferry boat services from Tronchetto): Once you exit the motorway you should follow the directions to VENEZIA. To reach Venice you need to cross a very long bridge (which connects Venice to the mainland and is the only access by car). Once you are on the bridge (about 3 km) you should keep to the right. At the traffic lights (there is only one) almost at the end of the bridge, you should turn to the right, following the directions to the 'ferry-boat' to LIDO. having turned to the right you should turn to the right again, crossing a small bridge and entering a very large parking area called 'TRONCHETTO'. DO NOT PARK THE CAR THERE. You have to cross the car park to the end to the ferry-boat station, where you need to board with your car. The ferry-boat service costs approx. 10.00-15.00 euros, depending on car length. Please consider the fact that parking the car in the TRONCHETTO or PIAZZALE ROMA car parks located at the entrance to Venice (30 minutes by boat to Saint Mark's Square) would cost you approx. 30.00 euros per day, then you would also need to carry all your bags to the hotel.
